Hello Everyone! Please find below some of the current happenings and information from Fort Saskatchewan Nordic Ski Club!
Fall General Meeting
The Fort Saskatchewan Nordic Ski Club Fall General Meeting will be held 2:00 - 3:30 pm October 16, 2011 at the Ski Chalet. I would encourage club members to attend in order to provide feedback to the board about direction for this season. An agenda and further details about the meeting will be posted on the notice board. Kids are more than welcome and there will be activities and games for them to enjoy during the meeting time.
Registration
This year we will be providing our members with an opportunity to register online. Please check the website on October 16 for registration details and instructions for using the zone4 registration system. Go to www.zone4.ca and explore the "Club Registrations" section. The Fort Saskatchewan Nordic Ski Club will appear in this section shortly.
Coaching Clinic
Fort Saskatchewan Nordic Ski Club is sponsoring some club members to attend Introduction to Community Coaching Clinic November 5/6 and Community Coaching Nov 19/20 in Edmonton. If you are at all interested in learning the basic principles of coaching we would love to have you attend. We are always in need of coaches for the Jackrabbit program. Skiing ability is not a requirement of the program. If you love spending time with the kids teaching is a great opportunity. Technique will come with practice!
Fall Clean-up
Join us at the Ski Club October 22 from 9am to 12:00pm to prep the ski center for the ski season. We need help with the final chalet clean up, and support outside with tree trimming and grass cutting as well as many other jobs. Let me know if you are interested in helping out! We will certainly find you something to do!
